XRP Surges 11.28% as Crypto Trading Intensifies
XRP Posts a Significant Daily Gain
XRP recorded a strong move higher on Sunday, with the cryptocurrency trading at around $1.4745 on the Investing.com Index at 00:00 GMT. According to the reported market data, XRP advanced 11.28% within 24 hours, making it one of the strongest daily performances for the asset in recent months.
The latest increase also had a noticeable impact on XRP's market capitalization. Its total market value climbed to approximately $92.53 billion, giving XRP a share of around 3.56% of the entire cryptocurrency market. At its historical peak, XRP's market capitalization had reached approximately $210.6 billion.
Weekly Performance Shows Strong Momentum
XRP's recent strength becomes even more apparent when viewed over a longer period. During the previous seven days, the cryptocurrency gained approximately 46.85%, highlighting a substantial increase in investor activity and market interest.
Trading volume also remained high. Around $14.04 billion worth of XRP changed hands during the latest 24-hour period. That amount represented approximately 10.94% of the total trading volume across the cryptocurrency market.
During the same period, XRP traded between approximately $1.4626 and $1.5186, demonstrating that the token continued to experience considerable price movement.
XRP Remains Below Its Historical Peak
Despite the recent rally, XRP has not returned to its previous record price. At the reported level, the cryptocurrency remained approximately 59.66% below its all-time high of $3.66, which was reached on July 18, 2025.
This gap illustrates the difference between XRP's recent short-term recovery and its longer-term performance. Although the token has gained significant ground over the past week, it still needs a much larger increase to challenge its previous record.
Bitcoin and Ethereum Head in the Opposite Direction
The performance of other major cryptocurrencies was less positive. Bitcoin was trading at approximately $76,932.10, representing a daily decline of 1.98%.
Ethereum also moved lower, with its price standing near $2,414.03, down approximately 4.05% during the same period.
Bitcoin continued to dominate the market by capitalization, with a value of roughly $1.54 trillion, equivalent to about 59.40% of the total cryptocurrency market. Ethereum's market capitalization stood near $291 billion, giving it approximately 11.19% of the market.
A Mixed Session for the Cryptocurrency Market
The latest figures highlight the uneven performance among major digital assets. XRP experienced a powerful daily and weekly increase, while Bitcoin and Ethereum recorded losses.
Such differences show that cryptocurrency prices can respond very differently to changing market conditions. For XRP, the recent gains represent a significant recovery, but the asset remains well below its historical high and continues to trade in a highly volatile environment.
